We enlisted their services for our office renovations, and we found them to be meticulous and easy to work with at every step of the engagement. It’s not hard to see why they’ve built a solid reputation in the area; they provide good and honest work.
From the get-go, they made sure to capture our vision, helped us land on the best colour of paint and finish for the cabinets, and pivoted easily when we needed to make changes.
Their attention to detail and years of experience really showed in the quality of their work on our office cabinets and drawers! Definitely a good find!
That said, there were some reports of projects being rescheduled without notice. While we didn’t experience that ourselves, this is something to consider.

I can’t say enough positive words about the paint job recently completed at our home by CertaPro Painters of Ottawa. To start with, Dip prepared a thoughtful quote for us which was detailed and complete. I was very comfortable with his professionalism when discussing the scope of work with me, as well as his responsiveness when I needed to make some changes. Brad was the painter who came to execute the project. He was punctual and showed up ready to work. He took so much pride in his work, and every detail was taken care of perfectly. At the end of each day, he left the work area tidy, and during the painting process our home was spotless. We were amazed by his careful and precise work. On top of all of this, Brad was personable, polite, and completely unobtrusive. For reference, Brad painted our exterior front doors, back hall, foyer, two closets, five doors, powder room, dining room including ceiling, main floor and downstairs hall, and kitchen – this was the largest paint job we’ve ever had. It was a breeze working with them when we had our office cabinets repainted – we didn’t need to micro-manage or constantly check the quality of their work because they consistently deliver results and update us frequently.
We liked that they provide realistic project timeline estimates, arrive on time, and work with skill and precision. Every cabinet handle was in the right place, and the paint job was seamless.

A family friend worked with Goldfinch on a major renovation, and we were impressed when they had us over for dinner, so we just had to ask who did the work. What they discovered just lately is that they have a designated team that specializes in painting cabinets, too!
So they decided to also hire Goldfinch to refinish their Airbnb’s cabinets. We visited them once and were impressed by the efficiency of the painters in action.
We asked our friend about Goldfinch, and they mentioned how they found the team to be easy to work with, producing consistent high-quality work – the painting job was particularly thorough.
We also liked that their systems are hassle-free. They have an online form that you can fill out, and you receive an estimate quickly. You then decide on a date, and they complete the job in under a week; it’s very easy and fast.
While our friend didn’t need it at the time, it was nice to know that they had a wide range of services available. So if you’re doing a renovation, they can be a one-stop shop for all of your needs.
Something we took note of is that they can be busy in certain months, which makes it more challenging to schedule an appointment. Therefore, it’s best to have an honest conversation with them about project expectations if you plan to complete work during peak season.

Had Goldfinch paint my 40-year-old kitchen cabinets, and they did an amazing job. Love the smooth door finish. Have ka notty pine cabinet, so soft wood and they repaired lots of dents prior to painting. The process took about a week, but the total time onsite was 2 days. Was able to choose the exact color I wanted as I had to buy the paint prior to them coming over. Did a lot of shopping and estimates, and they were the best priced. Highly recommend them.

When we decided to get our kitchen cabinets painted, I searched companies that had the highest rating and reviews and chose four for quotes. The difference in the costs of the jobs was staggering. Goldfinch was completely within our budget and extremely reasonable. They took away our drawer and cabinet fronts to paint in their facility and discovered that the original stain had not been properly done so the dark colour bled through the light colour but they were able to fix that problem perfectly. They came on time and within the time frame quoted. They were professional, polite and cleaned up the site afterwards.
There were some touch ups needed and they came back free of charge so I decided to change the colour of the island to the last pic. I CANNOT say enough about this company!!!

With over 22 years of experience in all types of painting projects, Axcell Painting and Cabinet Painting has established a solid reputation as a premier painting and decorating company in Ottawa.
We like that they use WIX technology, resulting in faster and more accurate color-matching of paint and that they use eco-friendly products in their work.
We also appreciate the effort they put into ensuring a smooth customer experience — fast cost estimates, frequent check-ins and updates, and clean project areas.
While we didn’t get to really talk to the painters for a long time, they were courteous and respectful of the space (which we appreciate since it’s an old house).
They were professional and easy to talk to, always informing us if there would be deviations from the plan.
We did notice that pricing can be expensive, but for us, we see a solid return on investment when you book them. The paint job is durable, and they don’t cut corners.

Spray-Net is more well-known for exterior painting, but they actually have a designated team focused on painting kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
One of my officemates hired them when they bought their new house. Based on their feedback, they were knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful.
They answered questions promptly and made sure they understood project expectations during their site visit. They studied the surfaces of the house and gave expert advice on the best coating needed.
From what we gathered, they utilize an in-house software that guides them in customizing the coating based on the current weather conditions and humidity.
We like this because this means a better curing process for the paint and more durable results. After checking out our officemate’s home, we were really impressed by Spray-Net’s highly detailed work!
They use spray paint, so the process is very efficient. It’s great for projects with tight deadlines, as they typically only need a day to finish the job.
If there’s something to nitpick, we wish they had more vibrant paint colours in their available palette. While they have the usual paint colours used for interiors, I think their available options are limited.
They are respectful and meticulous
My whole experience with them was amazing! From the first call with John, to the painting done by Fabio and his team and the finishing touches with MoÏse. They are respectful and meticulous. Efficient, informative, conscientious
We had dealt with this company before when we had our house exterior painted. We remembered how attentive to everything when they painted the house. So naturally when we thought of having our kitchen cupboards painted we contacted them again. The Spray Net team were fabulous. Fabio and his team were efficient, informative, conscientious of sealing everything that wasn’t going to be painted.
