Holtz Spa’s huge 10,000-square-foot space instantly sets a grand, relaxing vibe, and they’re actually the biggest spot for relaxation in Ottawa. Every treatment room here is designed for stress relief and physical refreshment.
One regular we spoke to recently treated their partner to a couples massage and said the soothing atmosphere melted away all their weekly stress. They also excel at hosting bridal parties and shared spa days while still catering perfectly to solo visitors.
Plus, the menu has tons of options for custom retreats, including massages, body scrubs, and esthetic treatments.
But keep in mind, their famous ExoFirm Super Facial takes two hours and costs quite a bit upfront.
Still, with such a wide variety of high-quality services, it’s hard to beat this massive wellness retreat.

Very grateful for the amazing experience
It was my first time trying these and I find it difficult to have the same day off with my bf. I was not expecting they will have a vacant couple’s massage therapy on the same day I have booked it. Although there were some misunderstandings with our booking, the staffs handled professionally. Very grateful for the amazing experience and hardwork of everyone. I have booked a full spa package for the first time for July 5th. The services included a massage, facial, body scrub and foot scrub. Everyone at the spa was friendly, professional and on time with the services performed. They made an effort to acknowledge you and provide great customer service. The atmosphere was very calming
I went in for a spa day and had Kelley for my facial and my pedi. She was absolutely lovely and made me feel so welcome right from the beginning. Carla did my massage and she was so sweet in showing me some stretches to help my sore muscles. The atmosphere was very calming. Finding a venue equipped to host large gatherings is tough, but Renu Spa Urban Retreat explicitly caters to large groups with ease. With that, they make celebrating with a bridal party or hosting a big birthday incredibly seamless.
We actually organized a friend’s bachelorette morning here, and the accredited staff handled our group effortlessly.
Service-wise, they offer impressive esthetics like microneedling and HydraFacials, alongside exotic body detox rituals. If you need targeted muscle work, their menu also features everything from cupping to Brazilian lymphatic drainage.
The biggest downside is their restricted operating schedule at this specific Kent Street branch. They close early on Mondays and Fridays, and shut down completely on Sundays, limiting your weekend and after-work booking options.

I came here by chance because I was looking for a service the same day and I was in the area, however my experience was so great that I would highly recommend coming here even if it’s a trek! Great atmosphere of a little spa
I’ve been to Renu twice, and so far both times were excellent! I had the RMT Sue Harris for deep tissue, and she’s been nothing but wonders! She knows how to deal with patients who have scoliosis, and both my visits she’s helped lessen my muscle pains. Great atmosphere of a little spa, I hope to come again soon!

Third Avenue Spa has been a local favourite in the Glebe since 1999, giving them over twenty years of experience and trust in the community. Their treatment menu covers everything from relaxing facials to semi-permanent makeup.
This makes them a great spot to get ready before a big event or photo shoot with a boudoir photographer.
We especially love browsing their unique product selection, which includes toxin-free nail polishes and top Canadian skincare brands.
Here’s a heads up: if you want a massage that qualifies for health insurance, it needs to be booked with Jasminka, their only registered massage therapist. But because she’s in high demand, her calendar fills up fast.
Additionally, the spa doesn’t offer direct billing, so you’ll need to handle the claim paperwork yourself.

It isn’t often I rate spas, but I just had the most amazing oxygen facial from Marianna. I swear I look ten years younger. Marianna assessed my skin first and asked questions that would help her deliver a great service. Marianna’s technique was gentle and I managed to catch a quick nap! I left feeling like a million bucks
I went to Third Ave Spa while visiting my nephews in Aylmer, Quebec. I took one of my nephews with me and we both enjoyed our first ever experience with a body salt glow. The owner Patricia Bertolli greeted us with lemon water and the personality of an angel😁 I had Gina whose experience in this profession was quite evident. I left feeling like a million bucks, the overall experience was fantastic! I highly recommend this Spa!!
