The wine scene in Ottawa goes far and beyond its bars and wineries. If you want to see the real deal, you have to venture to the countryside and explore the capital’s most breathtaking vineyards—that’s where we come in.

To save you from the tedious road trip, we’ve curated a list of our personal favourite vineyards in and outside Ottawa. We’ll be exploring a whole world filled with scenic views, delicious bottles of wine and planted grapes as far as the eye can see.

Kin Vineyards is only a 25-minute drive away from Ottawa, making it one of the best quick getaway destinations from the capital. It’s also a local favourite because of its spectacular one-tasting experience, which is further enhanced by its postcard-worthy views.

Not only will you get to taste some of the best-tasting wines here, but you’ll also be treated to a myriad of delicious Italian dishes. This is thanks to the vineyard’s in-house restaurant, Joe’s Italian Kitchen, which serves authentic classics like pizza, pinsa romana and more.

These dishes are perfect to pair with a glass of the winery’s pinot noir and chardonnays, especially with views that look straight out of a movie.
