Just 4 Kidz Dental stands out for their strong focus on pediatric care. This clinic is led by Dr. Raj-Deep Mahal, a pediatric dental specialist who completed three additional years of university training focused on child psychology and pediatric growth.
Dr. Mahal and his team make dental visits stress-free by providing a kid-friendly space. He and his staff move at a relaxed pace, and there’s even a PlayStation 5 in the waiting area and a TV in front of the dental chair.
They also warmly welcome patients with special needs without needing a referral.
When our colleague brought her timid four-year-old for a checkup, her kid loved how the staff let him brush a toy’s teeth first, which immediately put him at ease.
A downside is their lack of weekend hours, restricting your visit strictly to weekday appointments.

Kind and thorough care for kids
Dr. Mahal is by far the best kids dentist I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Thorough, available and kind. And he speaks French as well! All his staff is equally pleasant and competent. We had Jessica as a hygienist and she was amazing with my daughter who was afraid of the x-ray procedure. Would give it 10 ⭐ if I could. 👍🏾

Excellent care for special dental needs
Great dentist for the kids. My son has an issue that requires special treatments and Just 4 Kidz had been spectacular in dealing with him and his surgeries. I would highly recommend for very small children – especially if something isn’t just a routine clean

On top of dental treatments, they offer practical child nutrition and wellness counseling to help build healthy habits early.
Their team of pediatric specialists is truly impressive, as they speak English and French to ensure clear communication throughout.
And when unexpected toothaches happen, they’re available for emergency care through extended after-hours support.
However, if your child requires treatment under general anesthesia, you have to travel to Pediacentre, their separate partner clinic since their Russell Road location doesn’t offer it.

Same-day help for a dental infection
We have had such a positive experience with pediadent, we have been for several visits, and our last visit my kid needed to be seen because he had a mouth infection and they saw him that day —first thing in the morning —took him right in !! and as a parent that provides you with a lot of support and relief that your kid will be looked after, especially when they’re in pain. Thank you. And for being so wonderful to our son and taking good care of his teeth.

Bilingual and child-friendly dental care
We visited twice for our daughter and the experience was extremely positive for both parents and child. The staff is very professional and accomodating, and the work done is always high quality. We like Kiddo Dental for their specialised training in managing complex dental health needs. You can feel confident knowing your child is in highly capable hands here, since they have a team who knows how to work with children.
The practice prioritises positive experiences by offering physician-led anesthesia support with two physician anesthesiologists on staff, ensuring kids receive safe care.
One of their pediatric dentists is Dr. William Nicola, who is known for handling emergency cases and special care needs. Notably, he holds a master’s degree in pediatric care and completed his residency at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
Most of the parents we spoke with even praised the team’s calm and empathetic care, which greatly helped anxious kids.
The main downside is that they’re not exactly the best option for emergency dental care, as they don’t have weekend or extended hours.

Plus, they operate exclusively as a children-only clinic serving infants, kids, and teenagers.
They also offer general anesthesia for complex cases or high anxiety, ensuring children receive necessary dental treatment safely and comfortably.
Another highlight here is their dentists. First is Dr. Maryam Karami, a general dentist, who provides specialised infant laser frenectomy procedures for tongue-tie and lip-tie releases.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bihac Mazigh, their pediatric dentist, brings complementary pediatric expertise to the office.
Just keep in mind that weekend appointments aren’t available here, since they only operate on weekdays.

Fun and comfortable clinic for kids
We had a wonderful experience at the Little lion Dental clinic! The office was incredibly beautifully designed and child-friendly, and was equipped with all the toys, digital entertainment, and a children’s TV, which made my sons feel comfortable from the start. Caring dentist from infancy to childhood
Dr. Maryam Karami has been my son’s dentist since he was 6 months old, and now at 4 years old, he still loves visiting her clinic! Located in the heart of Ottawa, Say Cheese Dentistry is one of our choices for their accessible services. For instance, Dr. Muna Osman, a general dentist with a special interest in children’s dentistry, provides services in English, Arabic, and Tigrigna.
Dr. Osman even received the Arthur D. Cumming Medal for outstanding merit in dentistry for children, showing her deep dedication to positive patient experiences.
The dental team also treats Temporomandibular Joint disorders (TMJ) and pediatric sleep issues using non-surgical methods, providing gentle solutions to improve the kids’ comfort.
We love how the office even makes scheduling simple by offering Saturday hours, too. They even allow multiple family appointment bookings.
A minor drawback, however, is that despite having a special interest in children’s dentistry, the clinic isn’t specifically tailored for kids.

Comfortable dental visits for Young kids
We are very happy to have found Say Cheese Dentistry. We make a long commute to visit Dr. E and it is well worth it due to the exceptional service and expertise that he provides.
