We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Ever walked into a place and just felt instantly happier because of all the sunlight pouring in? Yeah, windows do that magic. I honestly think a bright, airy space can turn your mood right around—unless, of course, your window won’t close properly.

Windows aren’t just for looks; they keep the cold out and the light in and can totally boost your home’s curb appeal, too. And because Ottawa winters aren’t exactly known for being gentle, having the right window experts on speed dial is a total lifesaver.

Now, if you’re looking to fix up your old windows or maybe give your house a little facelift, we’ve rounded up the pros for window services in Ottawa that you’ll want to check out. Read on!

How much does window services cost in Ottawa?

In Ottawa, window services like installation, repair, or replacement typically cost between $300 and $1,200 per window, depending on the type and size. This usually includes labor, materials, and disposal of old windows, but specialty features or emergency repairs may increase the price.

How We Chose the Best

Expertise – We looked for window service experts with solid experience and proper certification. We wanted to make sure these pros really knew their stuff, from tricky installations to quick repairs.
Work Quality – We reviewed their past projects and customer photos—no one wants crooked frames or leaky windows! Only companies with a track record of neat, long-lasting results made the cut.
Speed – No one wants to wait forever with a broken window, so we picked the companies that customers said got the job done quickly and efficiently.
Customer Service – We made sure each company was friendly and easy to work with, whether you’re calling for a quote or dealing with a warranty issue. Good communication and helpful staff can make a huge difference, eh?

We decided to check out Ecoline Windows and Doors Ottawa after hearing homeowners rave about them—and we were not disappointed!

One thing that stood out is that they handle every step in-house, from manufacturing to installation. You can really trust their crews since they actually follow CSA guidelines and are covered by the Workers’ Compensation Board.

If you’re someone who likes having energy-efficient options, their lineup—everything from casement and awning to bay, bow, and even custom-shaped windows—is all Energy Star and NAFS-22 certified.

A few friendly staff members walked us through how they help homeowners take advantage of government rebates, which is a huge perk. Their direct-from-the-manufacturer warranty adds another layer of peace of mind!

Several customers also added about the install crew’s timeliness and neat work, plus the fact that Econline’s process is very transparent about timelines and costs.

The one consistent complaint, though, is following up after installs—some folks had to chase the office for answers when issues popped up.

Pros

  • Wide range of window styles
  • Energy Star & NAFS-22 certified products
  • In-house installation teams
  • Manufacturer’s direct warranty
  • Helps with rebates

Cons

  • Poor post-job customer service
  • Closed on weekends

Skilled installation in challenging conditions

“There were four windows in the basement of my house that were leaking cold air and had no screens to access fresh air in the summer. One of the windows was under the deck, and the deck had to be partially dismantled in order to install it. The guys did a great job in a difficult situation. All the windows were installed beautifully, and the deck was put back to its original condition. Great care was taken to keep floors and stairs clean, and all the old windows and framing were removed. I’m happy I chose Ecoline!”

Excellent quality and outstanding service

“Vitalli, is excellent at customer service, and advice.  He provided us with a fantastic price for our windows and doors.  The windows and doors are a superior quality, just beautiful.  We don’t hear cars and trucks driving down the street anymore.  The work crew were quiet, clean and professional.  This is a 10 out of 10 company.”

Canadian Choice Windows & Doors Ottawa’s showroom genuinely surprised us—not only is it organized, but the displays of different vinyl styles, colours, and finishes make it simple to compare options.

The staff are fantastic, too; they really take the time to discuss options and nail down what works for your budget and style.

They’re big on customization, so if you want something beyond the usual—think unique shapes or bold colours—everything can be tweaked to fit. Another thing we like is their focus on making the whole process smooth, from hassle-free consultations to speedy installs.

And with a massive 25-year warranty on both window and door installations, plus flexible financing plans, it’s hard not to see the appeal for any homeowner.

Customers we spoke to mentioned energy savings after switching to their low-E tech window. The only hiccup is that they only work with vinyl, so if you’re after wood or aluminum, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Pros

  • Wide range of customizable vinyl window styles
  • 25-year warranty
  • Energy-efficient Low-E technology
  • Financing options available
  • Well-organized showroom
  • Factory-trained, SAWDAC-certified installers

Cons

  • Limited to vinyl windows only
  • Closed on weekends

Energy efficient and exceptional service

“Our new windows are the best investment we’ve made to our home. They are energy efficient, sound reducing and have increased our homes value and curb appeal. Thank you Sasha, Edward, and Boris for taking such good care of us here in Findlay Creek.”

Stunning window options and smooth process

“We are extremely happy with our new windows. The windows are beautiful. The whole experience was well worth it. The crew and customer service were amazing. Looking forward to my next purchase. We highly recommend. April 2025,  we have purchased the remainder of our windows and they are beautiful once again. Vitali and Sasha did an amazing job. Everything went extremely well with install. Very pleased with everyone at Canadian Choice.”

Centennial Glass has been around the block for more than five decades, and its expertise can be seen in its previous works. We actually enjoyed browsing their portfolio, and had a lot of ideas afterward!

Now popping in at their showroom, we were even more impressed by how many styles they had on display—bay and bow, casement, double-hung, slider, awning, you name it.

They also have custom options for shower enclosures, mirrors, closet doors, and even storefronts. Centennial partners with Canadian brands like Elite, Kohltech, and Greensview, too!

The staff don’t mind answering the nitty-gritty questions we had—clients loved them for this also.

To add, a family we spoke to raved about the crew arriving exactly on time and somehow replacing tricky second-story windows before the day was done, leaving everything spotless.

Their walk-in repair services come in handy for smaller jobs, while their mobile teams are a lifesaver in emergencies. However, getting a follow-up after the first phone inquiry sometimes drags on longer than you’d expect.

Pros

  • Over 55 years of expertise
  • Extensive range of glass and window solutions
  • Certified, in-house installers
  • A+ BBB rating
  • Walk-in and mobile repair services

Cons

  • Slow response to follow-up inquiries

Exceptional communication and craftsmanship

“We recently had the all the windows/ patio doors and front doors replaced at our home and rental property and I couldn’t be more pleased with the whole process . The customer service was top-notch—clear communication, timely responses, and Greg walked us through every step, ensuring we were well-informed and comfortable with the choices we were making. The installation was flawless. Kurt and Jesse took great care in making sure everything was installed to perfection. I highly recommend Centennial Glass for anyone looking for high-quality windows and excellent service. Their professionalism and attention to detail are truly unmatched. A fantastic experience all around!”

From the get-go, Capitall Windows and Doors’ team was super helpful—no pushy sales vibes, just real info to help you figure out what fits your space or budget best.

We noticed right away that they have plenty of display options, plus they walk you through everything (even rebate paperwork, which is never fun on your own).

Their LoE² Glass caught our attention. It’s one of those upgrades we’d all appreciate when the Ottawa weather gets wild—cozy inside in the winter, and it keeps your space from turning into a sauna in July.

Love that you can’t even tell the glass is coated! Also, if you want to tick more things off your reno list at once, they’ll set you up with blinds that match your new windows and doors, so you don’t end up running around to other shops.

A few regulars mentioned the lifetime warranty is a huge perk, and financing helped ease the pain of a big renovation bill. One heads-up, though—if you ever have to use that warranty, we heard it might take a bit of persistence to get a quick response.

Pros

  • Over 15 years of experience
  • Accredited, fully licensed team
  • High-performance LoE² Glass options
  • Wide selection of windows, doors, and blinds
  • Assistance with rebates and financing
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Informative staff

Cons

  • Delayed response for warranty service
  • Closed on weekends

Meticulous installation

“We are impressed by the quality of the three large windows purchased. We are also impressed by the quality of the installation and the meticulous work of the two installers. When they encountered a problem with the frames and the wall, they notified us immediately and secured the wall until the repairs could be made. Capitall Windows recommended a company, TAG, who made the repairs in a timely and competent manner. The installers returned. They took great care and the finished results are beautiful! We are very pleased.”

Marguerite Beaulieu, Google Review

Seamless process and detail-oriented team

“Capitall Windows recently installed windows and a patio door in my home. Capitall Windows was easy to work with – from their sales agent, front office staff, to the installers! On the day of installation the installers were professional and dedicated. I was impressed with their attention to detail. All debris from the job was cleared and my windows look amazing. I’d certainly recommend this company.”

Advanced View Windows & Doors has been around since the early ‘80s and has this kind of old-school-meets-modern vibe—think local expertise but with all the up-to-date window tech you’d want.

We liked seeing a wide range of display options, from classic vinyl and wood to slick aluminum, in every style you could ask for—bay, casement, sliders—you name it. Plus, everything’s Canadian-made, which always scores plus points in our books.

One thing people kept bringing up, even when chatting in their waiting area, was the energy savings. It’s a big deal that the windows and doors here are all Energy Star certified, so you can expect lower heating bills.

Some folks added they managed to snag those energy rebates without a hassle, thanks to the team’s help. The staff are “ask us anything” type—super patient, no pressure, and they’ll walk you through virtual or in-person design consultations.

Sadly, everyone we spoke with mentioned some sort of installation delay or last-minute reschedule.

Pros

  • Wide selection of Canadian-made windows
  • Energy Star certified
  • Variety of materials (vinyl, wood, aluminum)
  • In-person and virtual design consultations
  • 100% customer satisfaction guarantee
  • BBB A+ rating
  • Assistance with the rebate

Cons

  • Installation delays and repeated scheduling issues

High-quality installation and personalized service

“Elvis and his team of installers did an amazing job replacing the windows and doors on my house. My triple glazed windows look and feel amazing. Elvis helped me pick a high quality window and delivered a high quality installation. The styles and colors look amazing both inside and out and qualify for government rebates. Elvis is responsive and flexible with competitive prices. I would highly recommend Advanced Views Windows and Doors for your next project!”

Lucas Coletta, Google Review

Seamless process and outstanding customer support

“We recently had Advanced View Windows and Doors install our new front door. Wonderful experience from start to finish! From meeting with Jason to help choose our new door, finalizing details with Elvis, and then to the amazing install team of Rob and Preston, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend them!”
