We were familiar with David’s Bridal before making this list because it’s where my friends and I got our graduation dresses. Until today, we’re impressed with the selection of dresses they have in store, from wedding gowns to party dresses, and everything in between.
It doesn’t feel overwhelming to browse their store either, as everything is categorised and neatly organised. Furthermore, the store is well-maintained, making the shopping experience much more bearable after walking for a couple of minutes.
The shop is also conveniently located in one of the city’s shopping hubs, near a Walmart and the famous Ottawa Train Yards. However, we were pleased to discover that we could browse their offerings online and enjoy convenient delivery through their official site.
Our only gripe is that the store is sometimes understaffed, leading to long waiting times before being assisted by one of their staff members. Fortunately, this is made up for by the high-quality assistance.

“My bride tribe (including flower girls) and I went to try on dresses. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on. I did try on 3 in total and turned away 1. My girls looked fabulous. The bridal party is wearing a beautiful Red Corset dress (they didn’t have the right colour to try on but the bright dress).
They look very gorgeous and sexy. The flower girls look so sweet and angelic in their sweet white dresses and veils. I love my dress and feel like a princess (I’ve been given tons of compliments).
The staff were friendly and helpful. Our appointment was from 1:30-3:30pm, but we did go over by about 2-ish hours by the time we got out of there. We got to look at dresses, and we told them the ones we liked, and the consultant grabbed the ones we liked in our size.
We even took her thoughts into account. Everything was simple and easy. There was a bit of a technology problem when cashing out (they got it figured out quickly). They have a large selection of shoes/footwear at a great price point.
I highly recommend. I did get to speak to the seamstress, and prices seemed reasonable from the quote I was given. This review is solely based on my initial interaction with them. I will add more reviews when the bridal party’s dresses come in and when we do alterations.
My first experience would be a 10/10. We all had a great time and created some amazing memories. They were also very accommodating and offered us water. Staff were professional and calm.
They also would joke around and have a fun, charismatic atmosphere. Great prices on the dresses all the way around.”

All That Glitters Bridal was recommended to us by a friend who recently got married, and she shared how pleased she was with the shopping experience. We also reached out to previous customers, and the consensus is that the store’s customer service is a huge highlight.
For starters, customers spoke fondly of how approachable the staff members were, and they were patient throughout the entire shopping experience. They’re also great at providing suggestions, brainstorming ideas to help the bride find the right dress.
It’s a good thing they offer excellent assistance, as their selection of dresses can be overwhelming to explore.
They offer a wide array of cuts, styles, and details—plus, they offer dresses for mothers of the bride/groom. They offer styles for proms as well!
However, we do want to note that your visit here should be intentional, as the store is a bit far from Ottawa’s city centre, and its operating hours are limited.

“We bought my daughter’s dress at this store. The experience was great. They were always very patient and helpful. The person that helped us listened to my daughter’s requirements for the dress and showed to her some very good options.

With Love Bridal Boutique immediately piqued our interest with their appointment-only approach to shopping. At first, we thought of it as a downside, but when we reached out, they explained how this method allows them to focus on their customers as individuals.
We interviewed their previous clients, and they all shared positive words about the hands-on approach of the store’s stylists. They mostly highlighted their knowledge about styles and expertise on which type of dress goes well with each body type.
Speaking of types, the selection of dresses they have in store is quite impressive as well, as they’re not your typical retail brands.
Their stylists are extremely personable. A handful of people we surveyed stated how worry-free the process was, from the initial consultation to the fitting.
The only downside here is the slightly inconvenient location, as it’s a bit of a drive away from the city centre.

Revelle Bridal Boutique is among the most luxurious options for a bride-to-be in Ottawa, offering dresses from talented international and local designers. We love how each of these designers offers different styles, allowing brides to choose one based on their motif.
We noted that one of the crowd favourites is Rish Bridal’s selection because of its balance between lavish and bohemian themes.
Hera Couture was another name that was thrown frequently during our interviews because of her timeless and luxurious gowns.
However, the common denominator behind our interviewees’ memorable shopping experience was the customer service. They highlighted these professionals as being knowledgeable about each item in the store, as well as being patient in explaining every detail.
The only feedback we can consider as negative was that the price range in this store is on the steeper side. This is to be expected, however, with the quality of the gowns and the names attached to them.

“I had such a wonderful experience with Revelle Bridal Boutique—it’s clear from the moment you walk in that this is a family-owned business where they genuinely care about their brides. The team is kind, welcoming, and incredibly supportive, and they made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process.
I ordered one of my dresses from Revelle, and it was absolutely perfect—it fit me like a glove right off the rack with no alterations needed, which felt like a dream. The selection is stunning, and while the dresses are definitely an investment, the quality speaks for itself.

Dominique Levesque Bridal is another store that works via an appointment-only basis. This is perfectly fine, however, as it allows clients to get a more personalised shopping experience with one of the expert stylists.
The stylists are highlighted by their previous clients as being kind, helpful, and patient. A handful of our interviewees even shared how these professionals’ suggestions helped lead them in discovering the style they were looking for.
We also did an ocular at the store, and we were impressed with how beautiful the showroom is. Plus, the organisation of products per category was neat, as it made finding specific styles easier.
They also offer a wide array of accessories that can help complete the bridal look, from earrings to hair clips, bracelets, and more.
However, we did find their dress selection a bit limited compared to other stores in the city, in terms of brands, plus size options, etc.
Stress-free, relaxing and amazing shopping experience
“My daughter was too impatient to wait for me to go prom dress shopping. She went to a different dress shop and left crying, and the experience was stressful, and she had no one to help her.
I, in the past, have previously bought my wedding dress at this beautiful boutique, and I already knew she would get treated like a princess there. Needless to say, both my daughter and I were not disappointed.
We had three favourite dresses and this is the one she said YES to!!!!
