It’s a perfect place for family lunches and get-togethers with friends, with its friendly staff and warm atmosphere. They even have live music sometimes, check the schedule here.
We personally really enjoy their blunch menu with its hearty sandwiches and fluffy pancakes. And no, we didn’t misspell that, it’s really called “blunch” because the menu is available from 8 AM-4 PM. Perfect for those who want to sleep in and have their breakfast (or second breakfast) later in the day.
Pro Tip:
If you need quick dinner options this week or just can’t get enough of their food, you can buy frozen pasta and pizza at their shop. Check out the full menu here.

Mandarin Restaurant is a buffet-style place with over a hundred Asian dishes to choose from. Our top picks are their sweet and sour pork, beef with broccoli, and wonton soup. Their menu is comforting, combining usual Asian favorites with Western staples.
Because of their variety and fair pricing, this is the best place to take people with a wide range of dietary needs and preferences. They have plenty of vegetarian options here, for example.
It’s amazing how what started as a small Chinese-Canadian restaurant in 1979 has grown into a chain of 30 branches, this one in Nepean being one of them. Despite its growth, we love how the quality of service and food doesn’t wane, making them a well-loved family restaurant in Bells Corners.
Pro Tip:
It’s a good place to bring your family because children under 4 eat for free! Up to two kids for every paying adult.

If you want mouthwatering steaks, burgers, and wings, The Brew Table is the place to be. We love their hearty handcrafted sandwiches that already come with fries or salad.
The best part? They have a bar that serves delicious craft beer and cocktails. A cold beer paired with their bar chow, such as nachos or steak bites, just hits the spot.
If you want something heavier, they have mains such as butter chicken, braised beef short ribs, and lamb shank that are flavorful with large portions. The vibe of the restaurant is casual and cozy, perfect for winding down after a long day at the office. It’s also a great place to bring friends.
Pro Tip:
Don’t sleep on their specialty coffee that comes with a kick. Our favorites are the Irish coffee and maple whiskey coffee.

Sundari’s Kitchen is another family business well-loved by the Bells Corners community. They offer traditional South Asian dishes like dosai, a crepe made from fermented batter of black lentils and rice, which they serve with their spicy house chutney.
My favorite is their idli, a type of traditional rice cake. I like mine soaked in sambar and dipped in coconut chutney. Another top pick is their chicken biriyani, which is deliciously tender and aromatic.
We love that they have a variety of vegetarian options on their menu as well. The choices can be overwhelming, but if you need guidance, their staff is more than happy to assist.
Pro Tip:
If you like yogurt, order the mango lassi. We swear by it.

Contact details: +1 613-248-3388
Opening hours: Monday-Thursday (11:30 AM – 11 PM); Friday-Sunday (11 AM-11 PM)
Happy Lamb Hotpot is my go-to when I have a hankering for hotpot because of their crazy good deals and warm service. Their broths are comforting and flavorful, apparently they season and simmer them for 8 hours — that’s dedication.
You’ll love how wide the range of meat, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, and noodles is. They have so many to choose from! Don’t forget to order extras of their specialty beef, as it’s the best!
If it’s your first time trying this and you feel a little intimidated, you can ask their very friendly staff. One of our friends said that watching this video also helped prepare her for what to expect.
Pro Tip:
They’re great for big groups because they have large booths at the back that you can have reserved. You can also opt to have your hotpot family-style, where you share one big pot, or go for individual pots.

Address: 1711 Merivale Rd
Contact details: +1 613-288-0517
Opening hours: Daily (11:30 AM–9 PM); Closed on Tuesdays
Montana’s is the place to go to for Canadian comfort food. We’re talking smoked pork ribs, juicy steaks, beef briskets, and burgers that would make you forget your name at first bite. Since it’s a sports bar, they serve a variety of beers, wine, and cocktails as well.
Our favorite is what they call Momma’s Lemonade, a mix of raspberry vodka, strawberry puree, and house lemonade.
The atmosphere here is chill, and the staff is attentive. Plenty of parking spaces as well. This is a great place to bring workmates and friends after a long week.
Pro Tip:
If you’re craving freshly-baked cookies, order the skillet cookie for dessert. It’s served warm with ice cream and caramel sauce—sinful and delicious!
Persis Grill

If you’re craving authentic Persian cuisine such as kebab or stews, Persis Grill is a great bet. The meat here is tender and very flavorful, showing the great care and skill they put into their food.
Aside from fantastic cooking, the service here is admirable. The staff are warm, attentive, and friendly. If you’re unfamiliar with the food, they make sure to walk you through the menu so you’re not lost.
Make sure to check their page regularly because they have happy hours and dance performances sometimes. They usually post the schedule online.
Pro Tip:
While we usually go here for drinks with friends, we realized recently that they’re one of the few places that serve amazing Turkish coffee and Persian tea. Don’t miss out on that!

Cyranos is known for its modern Italian and Mediterranean dishes that comfort the stomach and the soul.
They offer different kinds of salad, pizza, and fresh pasta that are consistently delicious. We think it’s because everything —from the Caesar salad dressing to the bread—is made from scratch on the premises.
What’s unique here is the open-kitchen design that allows you to see how your meal is being prepared. Their wide selection of wines, perfect with the pizza and pasta, also deserves a shoutout!

On Tuesdays, they have a promo where you can get two pizzas for $40. You can mix and match two different kinds of pizzas.

If you’re looking for a quick meal that’s yummy and affordable, Scotty’s Corner Diner is just the place. While it’s still fairly new, having opened in 2016, it quickly became a local favorite because of its reliability and efficient service.
We love their fried pickles, poutine, and freshly-made burgers. They have different kinds of sandwiches and all-day breakfast meals that are filling, so you get the best value for money.
The place is also very kid-friendly, with a comprehensive kids’ menu. They have a bottomless fountain pop that comes with every kid’s meal.

Their homemade apple crisp with ice cream is a dream—make sure to check out their dessert menu!

Contact details: +1 613-829-1010
Opening hours: Monday to Friday (11:30 AM–2 PM, 5–9 PM); Saturday (5-9 PM); Closed on Sundays
If you’re feeling Thai food for dinner, Sukhothai has a wide range of dishes available that are not limited to the usual pad Thai and tom yum.
We love that they have dishes like gang jued woon sen, a kind of chicken soup with clear broth and glass noodles, and different kinds of curry. Everything tastes fresh and they have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options.
They did raise their prices recently, but the food is worth every dollar. The servings are hefty, and the food is bursting with flavor; you can taste the love the chef pours in.
Pro Tip:
Their menu measures the spiciness of a dish with cute drawings of a chilli pepper, with one pepper being the lowest spice level. Make sure to check that out and request for adjustments if you’re not a fan of spicy food.
