We recently had the chance to visit Handyman Connection of Ottawa and, from what we’ve seen, they’re worth considering if you’re searching for top-notch carpentry services.
We were introduced to their expert carpenters, who are adept at everything! From trim and finish work to intricate tasks like crafting custom kitchen cabinets and window replacements, they’re your guys!
We also noted about the variety of services they offer. Apart from carpentry, they can also help with painting, plumbing, and electrical work, making them a convenient one-stop shop for home maintenance needs.
We’re just a little worried with their limited online presence. This makes it a bit challenging to get a full understanding of their offerings without visiting in person or calling them up.
Additionally, the pricing felt a bit on the higher side, though given the quality of their work and the speed with which they complete projects, it seems well worth it.
This is something their previous clients raved about, as well as their meticulous approach and friendly staff.

“Mark came over to replace an accidentally severed satellite radio antenna fibre optic cable. The Sirius receiver has an RG-6 connector however so the installation has to be delayed until the proper TOSlink to RG-6 adaptor has been received. Mark is very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We recently checked out 613 Carpentry & Contracting, and let me tell you, these folks are impressive. Founded by Avery Burke in 2012, they’ve genuinely cemented their reputation in the Ottawa area.
Their over 15 years of carpentry experience to the table, emphasising craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail. They cover a broad spectrum of services, from custom decks and fences to renovations, exterior finishes, and even commercial contracting.
What we found particularly noteworthy is their zest for continuous improvement and creating an amazing team, which their clients seem to appreciate.
We even chatted with a few customers who were praising both the quality of work and timely project completion.
Avery’s team is known for its reliability and excellent communication throughout the projects, making us feel even more confident about their services.
Price-wise, but still, their rates can be on the higher side compared to others. While we wish they offered discounts, their hands-on approach, combined with strong recommendations, keeps them in high regard.

When we visited House of Fine Carpentry, the first thing we noted was their expansive range of services. This includes custom cabinetry, doors, trim, wall panelling, and exterior finishes.
Their approach to carpentry is all about quality and precision, from custom kitchens to coffered ceilings, meaning they cater to a wide array of styles and needs.
We also notice that unlike companies that use modular cabinets, House of Fine creates custom pieces tailored perfectly to your space. This ensures that everything fits flawlessly and looks amazing.
Additionally, the team there has over 100 years of combined experience, and it shows in their meticulous craftsmanship and innovative designs. We were even more impressed by their use of sustainable and locally sourced materials.
On the flip side, we find their pricing a bit steep. However, after talking to some of their clients, many shared that the quality of work and attention to detail justified every penny.
We also talked to a few team members, and their passion and dedication to their craft were quite evident. Their seamless process from design to installation, all handled in-house, was a big plus to us.

To Do-Done is quite the standout among Ottawa’s carpentry services. From building decks and fences to custom shelving and storage solutions, the variety of services they offer is impressive.
We also like how they handle everything from minor repairs to large-scale projects like gazebos and sheds. We noted that their team includes many trained carpenters whose speed is remarkable—this doesn’t affect the quality adversely, though!
We also appreciate that they offer full house renovations, kitchen and bathroom makeovers, and even budget basement renovations.
Talking to their staff and previous clients revealed a common theme of satisfaction, though we did hear some concerns about the high price. Nonetheless, we think the quality and attention to detail justify the expense.
And we were happy with the transparency of their process, always keeping the lines of communication open.

From what we gathered during our visit to Trim And Brush, these folks have really made a name for themselves as one of Ottawa’s top carpentry teams.
Their decade-long expertise in carpentry is something we’re truly impressed with. Plus, they offer a wide range of services, from installing baseboards, trim, and moulding to their specialisation in tiling and flooring.
Their craftsmanship shines through each project, and we noticed firsthand their dedication to quality and speed. We also appreciate that they assure honest pricing and fast delivery, which was echoed by several clients we chatted with.
When we spoke to the team, they introduced us to their accent wall designs, which bring a great vibe to any space. Their swift response times are also a plus, as they often meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
However, we did find their pricing could be a tad on the higher side. Despite this, we all agree that the stellar results justify the cost.
