So, let me start by sharing a little story: Last summer, my cat decided he was going to channel his inner Spider-Man and took a flying leap onto our living room blinds. Needless to say, it did not end well—for either the blinds or my cat’s ego.

This little mishap led me on quite the unexpected adventure around Ottawa in search of the best place to get my blinds replaced. After getting some solid recommendations and checking them out myself, I’ve put together a list!

So whether you’re dealing with a post-cat-astrophe situation like mine or just think your old blinds have seen better days, these top blinds stores in Ottawa should have you covered (pun totally intended). Let’s dive in!

How much do blinds cost in Ottawa?

In Ottawa, you can expect to pay anywhere from $45 for simple blinds per window to $1,200 for premium motorized options. But still, the cost of blinds can vary significantly depending on the type and features.
Moreover, installation labor can add another $145 to $500 to the total cost.

Clinton was very knowledgeable and was able to guide us choosing the right blinds for each of our room. He understood what we had imagined. Thank you for your patience and guidance. The measurements and installation went just as smoothly. So pleased, I would recommend highly. Now our new forever home as our little personal touch.”

“Super impressed with every part of the purchasing, measuring, and installation service for our living room and kitchen. Christine was always patient and kind with me and my wife as we were browsing and deciding on what we wanted. The only thing I would have done differently was to schedule an at home consultation. I’ll be back to this store to get blinds for our bedrooms next!”

“Trishna and her team were absolutely amazing. Her attention to detail is second to none. They may the whole process so smooth. I can’t say enough good things about them We have owned multiple homes and gone through this process before with other companies and this was by far the best experience. Installation was smooth and precise. The window treatments Trishna helped us choose are amazing quality and beautiful. I can’t recommend them enough!”

Expert guidance and easy installation

“Trishna was so professional in assisting me in choosing window treatment for my kitchen, dining and living rooms. I had no ideas, and Trishna, recognizing my limited ability, steered me in the right direction. Not only did she make the decisions in the types of blinds, drapes and the colour, but explained why. First off, what really stands out about Blindall is the insane variety of blinds they offer. We found everything from zebra blinds and faux wood to vertical and roller shades.

Even Roman, solar, and cellular shades made the list, which means they pretty much cover every need and taste when it comes to window treatments. This makes it one of the most comprehensive selections we’ve seen in Ottawa.

Our experience started with a free in-home consultation where the team came out to measure, gave us expert advice on what would fit best, and the fit guarantee added a lot of peace of mind.

It was great chatting with other customers too, many of whom called Blindall their go-to for window treatments.

On the downside, we did find the pricing to be on the higher end. We were also a bit iffy about the energy efficiency promises.

“Extremely pleased with the service Blindall offered. They were prompt with communication and were flexible with scheduling. Our designer Erin was incredible to work with and went above and beyond to answer all my questions and ensure I had the right product to suit the look I was going for. The quality of the product is also top notch and my window treatments arrived in a timely manner and install was quick. I would highly recommend using Blindall and love that their products are made in Canada.”

“Blindall is the best. They have very qualified employees. They are extremely customer oriented. They returned my calls immediately. In this day and age it’s is very difficult to get the customer service as I did at Blindall. Both my daughter and I got our blinds there.”
