I figured the battery was dead, but nope—turns out the fuel pump had given up on life. And those things cost, like a kidney and a half. Payday wasn’t even close.
Luckily, my phone must’ve sensed my despair because an ad for recycled car parts popped up right after. So, my team and I reviewed the best used auto parts shops in Ottawa—read on to save your wallet and keep your car from falling apart.
How much do used auto parts cost in Ottawa?
Used auto parts in Ottawa typically cost between $30 to over $200 for common parts like side mirrors, brake callipers, or bumpers. More expensive components (transmissions, engines, specialty parts) often run $500 to over $2,000.
1. Arnprior & Ottawa Auto Parts

Address: 5445 Madawaska Blvd, Arnprior
Phone: +1 613-623-7361
Business hours: Monday to Friday: 8 AM – 5 PM
Established in 1976, Arnprior & Ottawa Auto Parts (A&O Auto Parts) has over 50 years of expertise in vehicle recycling and parts supply, which means they have the know-how when it comes to different cars and needs.
We love how they offer an extensive selection across many vehicle systems. They got parts for all makes and models, including engines, transmissions, bumpers, axles, wheels, batteries, fuel pumps, and more, making them a reliable go-to if you need something ASAP.
It’s also convenient that they maintain frequent stock refreshes, suggesting that parts are being added regularly. This also means you can get “fresher” parts even though they’re used already.
Speaking of convenience, if you can’t pick up in person, you can have them deliver the parts to your location.
Here’s the best part: even though they’re used parts, they still back it with flexible warranty options and give descriptions of the condition.
Just note that they’re closed on weekends, so if you try to squeeze in a late Friday delivery, it might not make it in time.
Great used inventory
“Went to buy a used battery for my tractor and bought 4 almost new tires for my SUV as well and at a very fair price too. Delivered them to my house for a very reasonable price. Great staff, great used inventory.”

2. A 16 Auto Parts & Recycling

Address: 1756 Bantree St
Phone: +1 613-736-3636
Business hours: Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM
What’s neat about A-16 Auto Parts & Recycling is that they have a strong inventory network and parts sourcing. In other words, if they don’t have your part in-store, they often can find it elsewhere and get it to you, so your visit won’t be in vain.
Since they stock genuine OEM parts for many major makes, while also offering used and rebuilt components, you can have the flexibility to pay for factory parts and save with quality recycled ones simultaneously.
On that note, their installation and repair services go hand in hand with their parts supply, especially if you happen to need replacements for the repair, and happen to have a limited budget to buy new ones.
It’s just a bummer that they don’t have an explicit warranty or guarantee for their used auto parts, so it’s best to discuss that first, particularly for the pricier ones.
On a positive note, they offer free delivery to shops, which is a big cost saver for body or repair shops.
Amazing service
“The whole team at A16 is amazing to deal with very friendly and know what there talking about when it comes to car parts . Amazing service, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for used or new auto parts at a reasonable price”
Rony Azzi, Google Review

3. Dave’s Auto Parts

Address: 112 Falldown Ln, Carp
Phone: +1 613-839-8733
Business hours: Monday to Friday: 8 AM – 5 PM
Dave’s Auto Parts stands out for their use of a digital inventory system that helps staff track domestic and foreign parts more easily. This significantly reduces the wait time and improves your chance of finding the perfect match.
The best part? They offer a one-year parts and labour warranty, which is already a generous coverage for a used parts supplier. This means if something fails early, you’ve got a fallback without having to spend on the same part.
We also appreciate that they provide coast-to-coast delivery—a big plus if you’re not in the area or have plans with the parts outside of Ottawa.
It’s best to inquire and order during the weekdays, though, since they’re closed on weekends. And ordering and requesting delivery at the last minute might mean you’ll have to wait longer.
Nonetheless, Dave’s Auto Parts is a reliable place for used auto parts, especially since they’re listed as a member of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association.

4. Auto Parts Locators Sales & Service

Address: 2727 Tenth Line Rd, Orléans
Phone: +1 613-837-7480
Business hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
We’re impressed that Auto Parts Locators Sales & Service has a wide catalogue with broad coverage systems. Think engines, transmissions, alternators, radiators, suspension, AC parts, and more. It also means they can often supply nearly everything you’d need for many repair jobs.
We also have to give them props for testing and having well-followed quality control when it comes to their used parts, especially before installation.
Beyond their parts and installation services, they also handle collisions, body repairs and related services, which is a lifesaver during emergency fixes. That said, given their 50 years of combined experience, they bring institutional savvy to diagnosing parts and installations.
The downside? They’re closed three days a week, from Friday to Sunday. This can be frustrating if the only free time you’ve got is during those days.
But hey, if you only need a part and can install it yourself, they do offer after-hours pickup as long as you give them a heads up that you’re arriving late.
Reasonable prices
“Amazing work reasonable prices I couldn’t be happier please go see them for your work”
Paul Fortin, Google Review

5. Kenny U-Pull Ottawa

Address: 6638 Bank St, Metcalfe
Phone: +1 343-321-4419
Business hours: Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Kenny U-Pull Ottawa offers a large and varied inventory in a unique format, wherein you’ll actually get to see the part still attached to the car, which you can browse yourself in their yard.
It’s a great method for DIYers who want to thoroughly inspect parts and pull what they need. On the other hand, it may come off as a hassle for some, especially since you’ll need to bring your own tools, and some parts are in tight spots.
Then again, this setup has proven to be quite reliable in terms of getting daily inventory turnovers. And it’s handy that they maintain an online inventory system you can use to search ahead of visiting.
We also love that every battery sold is tested and includes a 2-year warranty. It’s also reassuring that you can return parts within 15 days, in case the part fails or is incompatible.
Great for certain parts
“It is always a great place to wander around when in need of that certain part to finish a repair and keep your car running on a budget.”
Andrew, Google Review
Polite and kind
“The service was so courteous, polite and kind, they were there to help us and inform us, they didn’t let us go until we were satisfied.”
