More specifically, I’m talking about maid agencies, which are some of the most reliable people to turn to when you need your place to look and feel squeaky clean. Over the years, we’ve tried different agencies and we’re here to share with you our favourite ones!
How much do maid agencies charge in Ottawa?
Maid agencies usually charge 25 CAD to 40 CAD per hour.
However, this price may vary based on factors such as the size of the property, and the type of cleaning required by the homeowner and the agency itself.

MOLLY MAID was one of the first agencies we thought of when making this list, as they’ve been around for over four decades. Not only that but they’ve been getting mostly positive reviews since then, which we thought was pretty impressive.
It wasn’t hard to find out why too because for starters, they offer a wide variety of cleaning services, ranging from move-in/out cleaning, one-time cleaning and more. What’s more impressive is that they use environmentally preferable green products.
We also appreciate how they offer cleaning services specifically for seniors since this specific age group needs the most help when it comes to housekeeping. This service is the complete package, featuring cupboard wiping, deep bathroom cleaning, furniture dusting and more.
The only drawback with this company is its slightly pricier rates compared to other agencies in the area. If you can look past this though, we’re confident that you’re in good hands!

Beaver Maids immediately stood out to us because of its wide variety of services. Among these is their proven and tested recurring house cleaning, which aims to help homeowners keep their houses sparkling regularly by choosing how frequently they want the maids to visit.
What’s great about this company is their easy online booking process, which allows clients to choose their cleaning packages conveniently. Furthermore, if they want something specific to add to their package e.g. stove cleaning, they can easily purchase the respective add-on.
Our favourite thing about this company, however, is that they offer free cleaning services for cancer patients, which immediately earned our respect!
We’re just a bit iffy about its slightly pricey rates, which we can see bothering some potential clients. Nonetheless, Beaver Maids is still a solid option because of their well-trained maids and complete packages.

Bliss Maid was recommended to us by a friend who spoke highly of the agency’s staff members. They noted that their maids tend to go the extra mile to the point where sometimes, they’ll even cover areas that weren’t agreed upon, which we thought was pretty neat.
Naturally, we took a closer look and we were further impressed when we saw the scope of their services! On top of the regular house cleaning services, they also offer move-in/out cleaning as well as spring/fall cleaning.
What piqued our attention, however, was their post-construction cleaning service. We feel like it’s such a great convenience to have someone take the burden off your shoulders after doing some renovations inside the house.
Furthermore, they also offer disinfecting services, which they can use on different types of surfaces, rooms, and even appliances.
The only thing we think they can improve is their operating hours since they’re closed on weekends, limiting the schedule for busy people.

Hellamaid immediately captured our attention because of its striking name and upon a quick check, we quickly understood that it’s hella good at its job. For starters, they offer a wide array of services that can cater to anything from full-size houses to condos and apartments.
Their move-in/out cleaning service immediately piqued our interest because of its full-package presentation. For instance, it includes cleaning packages for all parts of the house, from the bedrooms down to the kitchen and bathrooms.
However, we do wish that they could lower their prices, especially considering that some of their services are required to be purchased as add-ons on top of the packages.
Nonetheless, we still love Hellamaid because aside from providing a myriad of cleaning services, they also make an effort to use eco-friendly agents! We know this is a huge deal for some customers who prefer their homes to be chemical-free.

Merry Maids of Ottawa is one of the most personable agencies and you won’t have to reach farther than their hotline to realize this. For starters, they’re so easy to reach and once you get a hold of them, you’ll be greeted by friendly folks who are passionate about what they do.
They’ve also been around for more than three decades so we figured that if there was someone eligible to do cleaning services, it would be them. Speaking of, they offer an impressive array of these services including your typical bi-weekly cleaning, spring cleaning and move-in cleaning.
However, what we love about this agency is that they offer specific customized packages for different types of needs. For instance, they offer something called “Budget Minded”, which is a cleaning package that won’t break the bank but would still target several rooms of the house.
We do wish that they could open on weekends though, as some people don’t have too much time on their hands during the weekdays.
