Right off the bat, we were impressed with Anchor Home Comfort’s variety of services. Their expert technicians can service boilers, furnaces, AC units, water heaters and more. What impressed us the most, however, was that they also offer drain and sewer services.
Their services are in-depth. For instance, if you avail of their air-conditioning service, they’ll do a detailed assessment of the situation, and if they feel like you’re better off getting a new unit, they’ll recommend a new one that caters to your budget.
We were also confident in their services given that they’ve been around for more than 35 years. Plus, their 2-year guarantee on their services gave us the idea of how confident they are in the quality of their work.
They also offer their services 24/7 with impressive turnaround times, which is handy during emergency cases.
However, we did notice some inconsistencies with regard to their customer service. Some clients were more than pleased but a handful of them didn’t quite like how the technician was too aggressive at upselling.

For starters, Francis Plumbing & Heating offers a plethora of HVAC-related services, from simple tune-ups to major repairs, installations and more. Moreover, you’ll find various types of services under each main service.
A great example of this is their hot water services, which include water tank installations, boiler repairs and maintenance plans.
One thing we wish they would change is their price range. A lot of their previous clients were shocked when they were presented with the initial quotations provided by the technicians so prepare yourself for a bit of whiplash.
However, they do somehow make up for this by regularly offering discounts and offers, which you can find on their website.

“We had a leaky valve and wanted it replaced quickly (last minute on a weekend) because we had just received our new washer and it couldn’t be used until the issue was fixed.
We called a half dozen places, and no one was able to come on the weekend – until we reached Francis Plumbing & Heating. We received amazing and expedient service, and Josh was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Prices were very reasonable. A couple of months later, our furnace and hot water tank had to be replaced, and because of the initial great experience, we called Francis right away. The second time was no different; we had exceptional service.
Adam came out on a Saturday evening to assess our issues and provide an estimate. The work was completed on Monday by Ian and Cole.

Tidy and neat
“I wanted to write about our experience with Francis who replaced our tankless hot water system.
Our previous unit kept having error codes and we never knew if we’d have hot water when taking a shower. You don’t appreciate hot water until you lose it. We were renting our tankless unit from Enercare.
They came out a couple of times trying to repair it but they finally deemed it unrepairable. We are so happy to be out of our rental program contract with Enercare.
We called Francis and met with Tim Mahoney of Francis Plumbing the next day to get an estimate.
He gave us some options and we went with a Navien tankless hot water system that also has a 1 gallon reservoir of hot water which means we get hot water faster than our previous unit.
The next-day installation was done by Kyle Knox and Jeremy Chapman and the installation and work area was tidy and neat. It’s been over a month now and we’ve had no issues with the unit or installation and have reliable hot water!”

Furthermore, they offer 24/7 emergency services with great turnaround times for Ottawans. We also appreciate that the workers themselves are residents of the city so they’re able to provide their unique insight into HVAC systems.
We want to note, however, that there are some inconsistencies concerning their services based on our interviews with their past clients. Some people were thoroughly impressed while others stated that the repair they’d gotten didn’t last long.
Fortunately, they do offer 2-year guarantees with their services where they’ll compromise for a solution to make sure that their clients’ homes are as comfortable as possible.
