Anyway, we went on a foodie hunt to discover which ones deliver the most delicious plates that hit the spot, offer the best value for your money, and are most raved about by the local crowd.
1. TNT Food Truck

Located along a street with a plethora of dining options, TNT Food Truck stands out as an exciting option for some juicy and delectable take-out burgers.
The cheeseburger is a popular plate for its pleasantly juicy meat. Each bite comes with a swirling delight of flavors sure to satisfy your craving for a savory dish.
For something even more exciting, we recommend trying the fallout burger, featuring bacon, double cheese, deep-fried pickles (yum!), lettuce, tomato, and the star of the show – the fallout sauce. It’s a unique concoction that will make your taste buds tingle in delight!
Aside from burgers, they also have tenders, hotdogs, and poutine. Their wide array of poutine flavors is also popular, so do yourselves a favor and try a bite!
2. Jack’s Chip Truck

Jack’s Chop Truck is a highly rated hotspot along Rideau Street. Most regulars will tell you to get the poutine, a Canadian classic made with fries, gravy, and cheese curds.
They manage to replicate the traditional flavors quite well, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a good ‘ol poutine – nothing more, nothing less.
We also found their bacon cheeseburger to be an absolute delight with its succulent beef patty, crispy bacon, and melted cheese that elevates the flavors.
Aside from the aforementioned, they also have sandwiches, fries, hotdogs, and other finger foods.
3. Golden Fries Food Truck

Golden Fries Food Truck is another popular eatery in the city, thanks to its poutines that come in generous servings, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied. Even the regular size is enough to fill one person with others even opting to share it with their companion.
Hungry customers can choose from an array of flavors including the classic, bacon poutine, and even vegan poutine for our plant-loving friends.
We find their big max poutine to be an interesting treat, which is a mouthwatering delight that features fries, St. Albert’s cheese curds and gravy, ground beef, diced onions, pickles, and sesame seeds, along with their tasty secret sauce.
Other menu options include fish & chips, burgers, and hotdogs.

Another food truck that offers scrumptious bites of the Canadian classic is Lou Fast Food. It’s nestled along Kent Street, which means it’s right at the heart of downtown, making accessibility one of its strong points.
It has garnered a lot of regulars over the years, including a few of our staff members here. We love its poutine for the satisfyingly crunchy fries and the perfect gravy that’s impeccably rich and savory, inviting us to come back for more.
Oh, and speaking of, we’ve been coming back here for years, but they manage to keep the flavors consistent, which never leaves us disappointed.
While the classic poutine has earned a rightful spot in our hearts, we also recommend you try the popcorn chicken poutine for an exciting elevation of flavors.
5. Mexigo Cabana

For a quick Mexican fix, you have to try Mexigo Cabana. This highly-rated food truck offers a multitude of menu options, ranging from popular Mexican offerings to exciting Canadian fusions.
The enchiladas are a popular choice for its good balance of flavors. The corn taste isn’t too overpowering, giving the filling and sauces enough chance to shine.
Other dishes we recommend are the chili burger, burrito, and chili con carne fries.
And if you’re a fan of spicy food, they have a delicious homemade hot sauce a lot of people rave about. In fact, a visit to Mexigo Cabana is simply not complete without trying it!
6. Glen’s French Fries

Glen’s French Fries is another poutine joint that’s the talk of the town. The delicious bowl is filled with an enormous serving of fries, drizzled with flavorful gravy with just the right consistency.
The sauce and cheese curd were also delightful, of course. Each bite is a tantalizing blend of flavors – no wonder people like it so much!
The sausages were also excellent, with the Italian flavor being our absolute favorite. The robust seasoning paired with the high-quality meat truly sent us to space.
7. The Garlic Press

The Garlic Press is a deluxe food truck, cooking up hearty meals for anyone to enjoy. With the use of ingredients from local sources, each meal is guaranteed to be made with fresh flavors, while supporting homegrown establishments.
We recommend trying the pressburger if you want classic flavors. It features two beef patties, cheddar, veggies, tomato, onion, and pickle, as well as garlic sauce for the complete home run.
Otherwise, the goat cheese caprese promises to deliver something fresh with exciting inclusions of pesto, goat cheese, tomato, basil, olive oil, and balsamic glaze.
They also have salads, pasta, and fried dishes.
While their offerings are extremely delicious, they’re surprisingly a hidden gem considering its slightly off-the-beaten-path location.
8. Yakko Takko

Yakko Takko is a stylish food truck perfect for those who want to enjoy Mexican cuisine in style.
They also offer a few tables where you can sit to eat your meal, which is a surprising feature considering this isn’t something you’d usually see in other food trucks in the city.
One of the popular meals is the tacos, which come in seven different flavors – ground beef, pulled pork, ancho chicken, ancho pork tenderloin, grilled pork with pineapple, chicken, and veggie.
While we’re vehemently against pineapples on pizza (don’t even get us started!), we surprisingly love the grilled pork with pineapple taco. The blend of sweet, smoky, and savory creates harmonious flavors, making each bite a delight.
On that note, maybe we’ll allow a small rebellion every now and then.
Aside from tacos, you can also order quesadillas and burritos.
9. Torta Boyz

While they don’t have a wide array of selections, you can tell that it’s carefully curated as each item boasts a tasty flavor combination.
